Race 1 (1,400m)
(1) GOLDEN ALEXIA had excuses for her disappointing last start and only needs to bounce back to her earlier form to make amends.
(8) LAVA LAMP ran well enough on debut to suggest she would play a leading role, especially with that experience to count on.
(3) POTATO SALAD and the experienced (5) MADAME POMPADOUR appeal among most of the remainder.
Race 2 (1,000m)
(6) OPERA FAN would not be winning out of turn after consecutive seconds. She sets the standard and her 2.5kg sex allowance will stand her in good stead against inexperienced rivals, of whom One World colts (1) ALPHA WORLD and (4) ONE TIGER are of particular interest.
(5) SERGEANT SOQRAT is another newcomer worth keeping an eye on. Watch the betting.
Race 3 (1,000m)
(1) EIGHT HATS would have come on appreciably from her encouraging recent debut third over this distance and that experience should stand her in good stead.
Newcomers (8) WINTER BELLE, (7) SPIRITRIX and (5) MY EYES NEVER LIE are well-bred fillies worth a market check on debut.
Race 4 (1,400m)
Second in three of his six starts, the resuming (1) ICHACHA need not be fully tuned to make a winning reappearance.
(6) GREEN STREET, who has placed second in two of her three outings, returns from a short break but has also shown enough to fight for victory.
(7) SHAMOON finished a career-best third last time and needs to only repeat that performance to have a say in the outcome.
Youngster (10) FREE BIRD is another with earning potential.
Race 5 (1,800m)
Fillies (11) NKWENKWEZI and (10) ART NOUVEAU benefit from a 3.5kg sex allowance.
(6) FUTURE KING and (7) INCLUSION are also unexposed and should improve to make their presence felt.
Race 6 (2,400m)
Veteran (3) ROMEO'S MAGIC justified market support when winning a similar contest over this track and trip last month. A five-point penalty is not likely to halt his momentum.
Runner-up to Romeo's Magic was (1) TO THE RESCUE, who is 2.5kg better off the former, so he could avenge that defeat.
(7) ROSY LEMON is also better off on these revised weight terms, so she should not be taken lightly.
Last-start winner (9) MO MENT is not to be underestimated either.
Race 7 (1,160m)
(2) BUFFALO STORM CODY was impressive when winning over a similar trip on his reappearance as a gelding last month. He remains open to improvement so a resultant six-point penalty may not be enough to prevent him from following up.
(3) SILVER TUDOR, (4) PASSAGE OF POWER and versatile (9) BOB'S YOUR UNCLE are honest hard-knockers with earning potential.
Race 8 (1,160m)
Course-and-distance specialist (1) WARM WINTER NITE copped a hefty eight-point penalty for winning over this track and trip last time. He ought to remain competitive but has more to do at this level on 62.5kg.
Lightly raced (4) HONG KONG also has a good record over this course and distance. She was narrowly beaten last time on her return from a break and need not improve much to go one better.
Hard-knockers (5) OPEN HIGHWAY has the form and experience to get involved, though a bigger threat will likely come from the maturing 3YO (8) PAUL REVERE.
