Product: HP Pavilion - 15-au628tx
Hi,
After the last windows update, my audio quality degraded and did not sound properly so I ran some diagnostics and troubleshooting which did not help. So I uninstalled Realtek audio driver and installed new driver from one of the support forums. The new driver did not help with speakers(which are not working). I tried applying detect changes in hardware in device manager but it did not help.
Also, my B&O audio control app is uninstalled and nowhere to be found.
Direct me the link to correct device driver so I can make my speaker work. Also, how do I get the B&O audio control back(It provided a significant enhancement to speaker quality).
Thanks.

@neil_duttaDid you check with aheadphone or an external set of speakers to check if that works?
Did you update to the latest drivers from the HP website?
(Click hereto find and install, if you haven't)
If the issue persists, please try the below steps:
- Go toWindows Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllerssection.
- In the list of audio device drivers, look forRealtek High Definition Audio or Conexant (depending on what driver you have).
- Right-click and selectDisable. The downward arrow displays on this driver, indicating it is disabled. (NOTE: At this point, you won’t be able to play any music files.)
- Right-click and selectUpdate Driver Software.
- SelectBrowse my computer fordriver software.
- SelectLet me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
- You should see a window that saysSelect the device driver you want to install for this hardware. NOTE: If you see a window that says something likeThis is the best driver for this device, exit the window and repeat steps 4, 5, and 6.
- In the Model box, highlightHigh Definition Audio Device(this is the substitute audio device driver) and clickNext.
- At theUpdate Driver Warningwindow, clickYes. You should see a confirmation window withHigh Definition Audio Devicedisplayed. ClickClose.
- In the list of audio device drivers in theSound, video and game controllers section, you’ll notice that theHigh Definition Audio Device nowdisplays instead of RealtekHigh Definition Audio.
- At the prompt to reboot, clickYes.
- Enjoy your music now with no compression
